I will clean it up later, but someone asked for pics of the helm, and I haven't go time to write a nice how-to at the moment. Here are the
wings and
missiles how-tos. Basically because Starscream's head, like the rest of him, is so small and compact, I had to do it in 2 parts to get it closely fitted enough. A helm I could just lift off and on over my head would be way too big. His proportions were troublesome.

| I ironed the foam into the shape as usual, and created thinker foam cheekbones as well as a plastic mesh panel over my nose. That way it stays in that flat, noseless, Prime shape. There's cloth over the mesh for comfort. I made his teeth inside the mouth, in order to be able to drink through a straw. You can get really dehydrated in costumes. |
